Payback Time...Official Iowa Vs Rutgers BTT Game Thread

Going from teams begging Connor to shoot to now Connor being red hot from three has been a huge part of Iowa's surge.
He sort of had off-season surgery that not only messed up his off-season but probably slowed the first half of this season.

Perkins was quietly dealing with a shoulder issue that held him back as well.

Satellite radio announcers praising Joe T for bringing energy when he came in. I seem to recall he was one of the few to play well against Rutgers in the earlier slog fest as well.

Kudos to Fran, still say Pod Fran :), for a quicker adjustment and us not getting down more and it being a closer game at the half. Recognizing the need for speed and JBo doesn't have the speed or handle and was not effective as well as Pmac where Sandfort is getting rebounds and is more effective in the half court. Recognizing the matchups and changing up the "D".

Also, who didn't see Illinois losing the way Indiana had been playing?
I posted in two threads that Indiana was going to knock them out. One yesterday and one this morning. @RobHowe can verify.

Wow, that assistant coach really hurt his team
Of course he eventually got bounced.

According to satellite radio his name was David van Dyke and he was the strength and conditioning coach. If that was the same David van Dyke that played for UTEP in the early 90's that would be like Marilyn Manson hosting the 700 club. Van Dyke was like 6 foot 10 and less than 200 lbs.

Who? Conner? Really? Had not noticed…

Yeah, Connor is adept at getting under the skin and into the heads of the opponents

He has been doing it his entire career at Iowa

He was a master of giving a little nudge/push away from the zebra's view

Making little comments, on a constant basis

Is he related to Dick Van Dyke?
