Or as rumors suggest he invested it in a consumable white power that already went in his noseGuys like that can get leached onto from family & friends. He could have 'business loans' out to folks for significant chunks of $ he may never get much back of over time if at all. There's just an unlimited amount of ways guys with money handle it. Some have a tougher time saying no then others when folks you know come with their hands out.
Or he could be extremely frugal and have a pile of it safely invested in mutual funds or suit cases with cash buried in the back yard. It's just hard telling.
Yeah your guess is just as good as anybody elses. My thought is just based off his decision making alone in his personal life he's probably not too good with his money either.

That sucks... Cause that burns bridges not just the cash too.I've done some work for two pro ball players who got into bad business deals. It's sad. The same story with both. Dudes they trusted, knew for years, had great ideas and just needed seed capital. They both got on the hook for personal guaranties on construction loans for big real estate projects. Poof. And these weren't even nefarious (which I've seen too) these were just cases of putting a guy with no real estate or project management experience in charge of 8 figure projects. It's real easy to lose a lot quickly.
This is a cheesy connection so take it for what it's worth, but one of my co-workers is a huge husker fan and his son is a student intern/volunteer/employee (not sure what you call it) with the athletic department down there.
He says it's pretty well known that he knocked up a beer cart girl from one of the golf courses and his wife has left town. And you're correct about the wedding ring thing according to him. Said he quit wearing it last season during the covid season.
What a fuckin downfall for the guy.
He went from king of the world at UCF being a natty QB and head coach of a "championship" team, to all of a sudden the laughing stock of the US sports world. Even his own fans can't stand the guy, now he's going to lose his wife and kids, get fired in the next couple years, and no way is he going to ever get a big job again.
And before anyone says, "Yeah, but he's rich..." That may be, but his wife is gonna get half of everything, and spousal support, and child support which ain't gonna be a small amount. And then he's gonna have child support to the beer cart chick. Is he going to be in the poor house? No way. But is losing family and half your stash (and then some) worth it just to bang a 19 year old?
It's almost like we're watching a Motley Crue Behind the Music being live-streamed. Had the world by the ass and now he's the equivalent to being spun out on coke in an hourly motel trying to find the hooker that just stole his wallet.
There's a difference between what one has made and what they have... We have no idea what he's got. I'm sure he's bought a nice house or 2 or 3... He's probably got multiple vehicles and toys and whatever investments he may have some tied up in. It's just hard telling how a guy like that spends his money. He may have a pile of it or he could have much of it tied up or largely spent. One would think it's tough to spend it all living the Lincoln NE lifestyle but ya never know. If you want to spend it it's not that tough to do
That was both hilarious and spot on!Michigan is still at Bo Pelini level in comparison to nebraska.
nebraska is at Scott Frost level.
That’s how I’d explain the situation.
Omfg, their stupid sellout streak. The best thing that could happen to that program psychologically is to just let it end (which is why I hope they keep it going for years to come!)

Well if Frost knocked up the beer cart girl, and many of those ladies are very fine looking for a reason at golf outings, without asking her if she was on the pill and without himself using protection then he deserves what he gets.
Not even remotely surprising... Shawn Kemp I'm sure can relate. This is the same Adrian Peterson whos reputation is painted as a loving involved parent that cares so much he's willing to spank his kids? Just not the estranged ones he has from getting strange...And asking about the pill doesn’t work when you’re a rich dude dealing with young chicks who want lots of money.
Ask me how I know (don’t worry, I’m not lucky enough to be rich and or attractive)….
There’s a really hot chick in my town with a six year old, a job paying in the mid teens per hour, and a decent house and car that are both paid for. Big Vikings fan who likes to go to training camp in Mankato, and her kid looks a lot like Adrian Peterson. Funny thing is that a blood test and a judge thought he looked a lot like Adrian Peterson too. The kid’s never met Adrian Peterson, though.
Getting neutered costs about $1,500 and would have saved Frost millions and millions.
Frost isn't a great coach, but the bigger problem was that Moos let him bring every single one of his UCF buddies.
Hayden Fry always said he didn't want to have assistants working for him that didn't have aspirations of moving up the ladder towards a HC job. He knew that meant guys weren't going to be sticking around long term, and it works.
Moos let Frost bring 11 G5 assistants to coach in the 2nd toughest overall conference in the nation. Say what you want about the B1G, but those guys were G5 assistants for a fuckin' reason.
What Moos should have done was say, "Listen here, Scooter...We think you're the guy and we think you have what it takes, but your ass is going to go get some big boy football assistants and we're going to pay them accordingly. You're gonna tell your middle school buddies to stay home and sit this one out."
None of the 11 assistants Frost brought with him had more than 3 years college coaching experience (most had 2 years, a couple had no experience other than administrative jobs at UCF), and none of them had ever spent a single day coaching in P5 football except for Troy Walters (one year) and Chinander (one year). And all of a sudden each one of them was a coach at a B1G school. Does not compute. If Nick Saban wants to bring his guys with him you let him bring his guys.
But Frost was playing Pop Warner compared to the B1G and there's zero chance 12 guys were ready to coach real deal Holyfield football. Ze---ro chance.
It's often a pretty good tip off when they can't get their seed money anywhere else.I've done some work for two pro ball players who got into bad business deals. It's sad. The same story with both. No one will ever convince me that 12/12 guys from a group of 5 school in a soft conference, most of whom have literally zero coaching experience past 2 years with Frost, are ready for Big Ten football. If Moos thought he needed to tell Frost who he had to hire as his assistants, he should have realized the guy wasn't ready to be his head coach.

That would be like a really good high school coach getting his first college gig and taking his high school staff with him. Completely fucking ludicrous.
Ludicrous to even think of, and even more ludicrous to let it happen.
Not sure what is so ludicrous about that. Troy Walters was his first OC and had stops at Indiana State, Texas A&M, NC State, Colorado (and CF). His DC was at Oregon, the Philadelphia Eagles, Northern Iowa (and CF). His QB coach had been all over, both college and high school. Didn't Jerry Kill bring along his entire staff at every stop up the ladder, the highest rung being Northern Illinois before he took the Minnesota job?No one will ever convince me that 12/12 guys from a group of 5 school in a soft conference, most of whom have literally zero coaching experience past 2 years with Frost, are ready for Big Ten football.

If you read my post I mentioned those guys had been other places. Nowhere as coordinators other than 2 years at UCF. They were Frost's bar buddies. Not sure what is so ludicrous about that. Lol. The highlight of Verduzco's career was as an assistant at an AAC school, the illustrious Rutgers. During his tenure there Rutgers had a .200 WP.His QB coach had been all over, both college and high school.
Kill was a complete flop at Minnesota, finishing his tenure with a losing conference and overall record. Not sure he's a good poster boy for staff recruitment.Didn't Jerry Kill bring along his entire staff at every stop up the ladder, the highest rung being Northern Illinois before he took the Minnesota job?
I heard my old 8th grade Jr. High school team needs a coach. What is Frost’s next gig? You go to coaching rehab….he joins the Alabama coaching staff or you become an consultant/advisor to Belichek the exact same route Beliema took.
