Are we supposed to be for or against these guys that bailed on us?

Creighton's Owen Freeman (knee) will likely not be fully cleared for another six weeks and will miss the official start of practice in late-September, per Greg McDermott.

Transfer from Iowa who averaged 16.7 PPG and 6.7 RPG last season.

Not for or against really, but maybe relief that a bunch of NIL $ didn’t go for a possible bad knee before the season begins. I mean, that can happen, and I feel for the dude, but (selfishly stated I guess), better someone that bailed on us than one of our players. We have already had our share of bad luck the past few years……..

This is an easier call for me as I went to Creighton and they are my second team, so I will have no problem cheering for Josh and Owen this winter. That Sanford kid is dead to me.

In all seriousness, there was a coaching change and the man that brought them to Iowa was fired. I don't blame them for looking around and also cashing in on the talent that they demonstrated. Every one of us would have at least looked at the options available and most of us would have transferred if it were a much better fit playing wise and financially.

I see it the same way the players do. If "the grass is greener on the other side" then so's my fandom once they leave. Not wishing them ill will by any means but if they can turn their backs on me as an Iowa fan (which I honestly don't blame them one bit), then we can do the very same thing to them. That said it's definitely a case by case basis as there are those buried on the depth chart that have zero chance of playing that do it for the sole reason of wanting to see the field during their limited playing days and those guys I have nothing but love for.

He didn't want to be here anymore and is gone. Guys like Nunge that leave for serious reasons are a lot more likeable than those that move on for money.

Yeah, I am not cheering for any of the guys that left Iowa for a bag of money. I can't blame them and I don't wish them ill or anything, but I don't give AF about what they do from here on out.

I am a Creighton observer so to say, living about 5 minutes from their stadium. I won't go see them this year, no fin way
