Other B1G games ...

McConnell has given the game away

Three bad plays in a row with him shooting and handling the ball

Harper just looked at the camera like WTF

Terps rule tonight against the knights

Penn St. wins at Michigan St., Ohio St. wins at Michigan, and Rutgers almost wins at Maryland.

The road may be tough, but every game is winnable.

Penn St. now has two more B1G road wins than Iowa.

Michigan has lost three straight home games.

Standings with respect to road wins minus home losses.

Illinois: +3 won all their home games plus wins at Wisconsin, Michigan and Purdue
Maryland: +2. won all home games plus wins at Indiana and NW
Iowa: +1. Won all home games plus win at NW
Rutgers: +1 won all home games plus win at Neb

PSU: +1. Win at MSU, loss at home to Wisc.
MSU: +1. Win at MN, loss at home to Purdue
Wisc: +1. Wins at OSU, PSU. Loss at home to Illinois.

Indiana. 0
Purdue: 0
MN: 0
OSU: 0

- Best road win of the year by far, PSU.
- Illinois has best overall road wins by winning 3 in those tricky middle of the pack teams.
- If NW and Neb really don't count for great road wins or road wins period, Iowa, Rutgers, MSU and PSU all go to zero and Maryland only +1.

That bleeping loss at Nebraska looks worse every week.

It does suck because it was certainly a winnable game. I look at it now though like Iowa lost to a road team and it may as well have been a team that we only play once at home and dont get on the road (like Wisconsin or Rutgers). So due to the scheduling imbalance it just isnt a big deal.

Our path to the B1G regular season title is still the same. We have to win our home games, we have to beat the middle tier teams on the road (Purdue, Indiana, MN), we can lose to MSU then the title game will be at Illinois in our last game. If we didnt lose to Nebraska, that would allow us to lose one of the 3 middle tier games, but thats all.

We will know a lot more Friday night, because we will have known if Iowa beat Purdue tonight and what the outcome of the Maryland/Illinois game is.

But the wins over Maryland and Illinois look good. :)
