Come on, now. You're being silly. Teague and Ellis are top-notch basketball men, and they understand what it takes to win. They will have a nice practice facility soon, so don't worry about that. They also go way back with Shaka and will give him everything he needs to win.
They also were paying the old coach who was 46-62 in conference play $2 million a year. It is an open job in the best conference in the country, flush with Big Ten network money. Minnesota produces a ton of division I talent, more top notch talent than Iowa, and not another school in the state to share it with.
Maybe Teague doesn't land Smart, but don't pretend this job doesn't have more upside than VCU. I guarantee you Teague finds a coach who will do more than 46-62 in six years in the conference.
