OT: Patriots out; who wins Super Bowl??

For NFL100 I’m going old school—
Packers vs Chiefs

Won’t be a happy household since most of my family are Packer fans. A couple of in-laws are Vikings fans. A few of us are Chiefs fans. Fortunately, no Bears or Cowboys.
 
Titans all the way now! They will have earned it if they can do it. If they make it past Baltimore (huge if), they have tended to do pretty damn good against the Chiefs and the Chiefs have hard time stopping big power backs like Henry.

I only watch NFL on T-giving and during the playoffs. My god, the game is so bad now. The defenses are just too damned good and you basically just have to heave it and pray now, but it was actually fun watching Henry. That offense can still run the rock and it is a thing of beauty compared to the pass happy league where a lot of the rushing is just the QB tucking it when the defense gets run off the LOS.

That is a big dude. Where it seemed like it should be no gain he was still getting 4 or 5 yards.

Yeah, I still like watching old school football where a lot of heavy run is used to pound your opponent into the dirt and set up play action passing. The Titans remind me of the Trent Dilfer Ravens with Tannehill, no one's equivalent of Brady or Manning as Dilfer, but will will have to wait and see if the Titans defense is as good as those Ravens defenses.

Yes the Chiefs have trouble with big power running games and they have trouble in the post season staying out of their own way. Last year the Chiefs had a week off and came out ok then against the Pats their offense laid a first half egg on the way to exiting the playoffs.

Incredible the Titans only threw 16 times in the game. That would be Iowa football if KF could help it.

If only a Derrick Henry type of RB could fall in our lap...
I'm a 49er fan and they have as good a shot as anyone. I was rooting for the Viks. We already had a tough game against the Saints and they are just a tough matchup. Hats off to the Viks for being able to do it. Now let's see how they do against the 49ers D (who gets Ford back) and the 49ers O that's been pretty hot down the stretch.

Niners fans deserve a Super Bowl for sticking with the team through the better part of 2 decades of ineptitude.

Niners players deserve one for all the hard work and adversity they've faced in their lives.

Niners alumni deserve one more to see before they start to die off.

82, 85, 89, 95 and then Crappernick had his chance too and blew it (big surprise). Booo hoooo.

Nothing is deserved in any sport because it is earned.
 
Let's see........ this weekend I am picking the Niners, Ravens, Chiefs and Packers to win. I really want to see the Ravens vs the Chiefs next weekend. That would be an awesome game, but watch out for those Titans, the mighty, mighty Titans!!

That's the second thing I look at when rooting for a team in the NFL. First how many Hawkeye players. The second how big of assholes are on the team. Wherever I travel, people always ask who my NFL team is and I always say that I don't have one (for the reasons above).
