Just a quick update for those that care. I have heard that Joel moved to Chicago and is going to be doing some games for ESPN3. Also doing some games for Butler.

I always liked Coach Cornette, very nice guy.

Interesting, i wonder if he will eventually get back into coaching?

Has Lickliter been spotted since he left Iowa City?

Lickliter was back in Hinkle Fieldhouse at one point earlier in the season. I have not heard much of anything since then. I had heard rumors he was doing some consultant work, but I haven't verified that.

I dont think i have ever seen a guy go so low profile after getting fired from a major program.

Joel is a great guy. Always was very genuine to me. Happy to hear he's doing well. Also, I someone recently wrote a bit about LaVall Jordan, another former Lick assistant, now coaching on the staff at Michigan.

And I would have to agree...Lick has kept an incredibly low profile!

Its called embarassment.
The job he did at Iowa was so horrific he is hiding is shame. And I'm not joking. He put in some effort but for whatever reason he/his family was not comfortable/happy in Iowa and I'm pretty sure he is very embarassed by what he showed as a coach in IC.

I spotted Joel doing some studio work for the BTN recently. Did a nice job. Good luck to him.
