At that price, I don't want him.
As I've thought about it, do we want some of these guys back because they played at Iowa or because they're the best we can get? I don't feel like we HAVE to have them. We're just familiar with them. He would've been a great one to have back, at that price, I'm not that worked up about it.

What is the “salary cap” going to be in 25-26? If you have a 4-5 million cap, I don’t have a problem paying Stirtz and Dix half of it.

Well frankly there isn't such a thing. They'll be what the schools themselves can pay going forward that'll differ school to school But then there's what the collectives can all get too and kids will always want the most of whatever they can get. They literally get agents in HS now. You'll see how when some of these kids are making announcements agencies are doing it on their behalf.
What the schools are gonna be offering kids is all great but the NIL $ from endorsements and collectives is where these kids will still be making the most $ and there's never gonna be a cap on that.

I watched a good portion of the Arizona - Duke game last night. I kept thinking while watching, why can't that be us? I've been thinking that my whole life.

Well it may get worse as if all it’s about is money, then eventually a significant amount of fans will get turned off by it all.
How full was our auditorium this year? People can say “yeah but if we were really good fans would come to the games and fill the stadium.”
Well if we don’t have the ability to “pay to play” then not much will change at it appears we may be limited to “pay.”
What would really draw fans in would be a group of low pay athletes playing for community and school pride who had the ability to beat the millionaire club schools.
That would draw admiration nationwide.
