You are an idiot. And an idiot with a mouth at that. Why do you continue to post about stuff you know jack **** about?1st, recruiting is all about relationships. Erb has GREAT relationships with guys in the midwest and it is showing. So why would he go to Texas? Florida? You don't just go down there and start building relationships right away. Iowa has four 4 star recruits....all Erb's guys.For idiots like you saying he needs to be fired because of all the running backs leaving.....he doesn't recruit RB's!!! He recruits a region!Coker, Wegher, ARob,....all guys not recruited by Erb and yet people ***** about the RB's leaving like it's his fault.

Not sure I follow your last sentence. Wouldn't Erb be the coach spending the most time with RB's once they arrive on campus? Not saying he is the reason any of them left the team but he certainly should have a significant influence over RB's once they arrive on campus.

this is what I was thinking. it doesn't matter who recruits them as much as who spends time with them once they are here. you're right that Erb might not be the reason why they left but he should be a reason they want to stay.

it matters a great deal who recruits them. because that guy should know if the kid is trouble or not. they have to do their homework on the kid then the staff (primarily hc) will decide if they are worth the risk. my thought is figure out if there is a pattern to who recruited the kid.

it matters if they are getting busted for serious crimes but for the most part I don't think that's the case. its not like we are bringing in thugs

it isnt about severity it is about the continual neglect of the rules. you need to bring in players you can trust. and that it doesnt take 3 strikes before they figure out they did something wrong. arob got in trouble before iowa...no surprise to any of the people ive talked to he did what he did and got kicked off. same with wegher. im sure everson and satterfield had stuff in their past. and we can look at douglass and others. im not talking about guys that are homesick or ****** about playing time. im talking about the kids that get kicked off for stuff they know they shouldnt do.
