Just saw a stat that Bama only has 3 wins against winning teams this year. OK state has 7. I still think Bama is a better team, but no way in hell do they deserve the nod over OSU.

Seriously? 3 wins against winning teams? So much for the SEC being so great. They were only a 2 team league this year. Even BK Stacker can't spin that statistic.

OK State. Bama had their chance at home and couldn't get it done. Plus it will be interesting to see a strength on strength and weakness on weakness game.

Big 12 needs to do some radically quick lobbying.

I agree that Alabama has played a fairly weak schedule by SEC standards but I think LSU and 'Bama are further separated from the #3 team than any year I can remember. I also think Georgia would beat any team in the B1G.

You mean that UGA team without one victory over a strong team over the entire season? Oh, i guess you put a lot of stock in beating 7-5 Auburn.

LMFAO!

Exactly. It seems that the SEC is immune to a negative argument. If they don't score points, it is great defense. If they do it is great offense. If they have a lot of good teams with good records, then they are great. If they have a bunch of average/below average teams, then it is because they beat each other up.

I am convinced that if OSU got into the title game and beat LSU that there would be people that still argue that Bama or LSU should be champs.

Georgia will be favored over Nebraska or Michigan State in the Capital One or Outback Bowl. Do you think Michigan would be 10-2 if they played in the SEC?

The SEC was not that strong this year. This was as year of parity in college football. This is why we need a playoff. Everyone says that we saw great defenses when Bama played LSU. I saw good defenses(Bama gave up three TDs to Georgia Southern the next week) and the worst display of QB play I had seen all year. The QBs in the SEC are nothing short of pathetic. But everything does get a pass in SEC land.

You're right, they wouldn't be 10-2. With Georgia's schedule this year they would probably be 11-1. In addition to beating every team Georgia beat, I think they would have also beaten South Carolina.

Saw that too, and a better record with teams going to bowl games.

Give me Okey State.

The SEC isn't good this year. The top is great, the middle is bad and the bottom is down right brutal.

Georgia, South Carolina, LSU, Alabama and Arkansas are the only good teams in the SEC.
Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Baylor and Kansas State are good in the Big12.
Wisconsin, Mich State, Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State are good in the Big10.

If you threw the 13 teams (exclude LSU) into a bag and drew two out, you wouldn't be able to determine the outcome on a truly neutral field.

I hope it is Okie St vs LSU as bowl game rematches are a waste. That being said, LSU will kill okie st which has no defense. Do you ever imagine this LSU team under any circumstance going to Ames and losing to the cyclones. LSU's running game will pound okie st and lsu's defense will smother okie sts offense. I thought weegan looked overrated against isu.

Alabama has the better chance to beat LSU but I think the game would be another boring tilt.

Hopefully Oklahoma State but for everyone knocking Alabama, they won every game by three scores. Just something to think about while you're throwing them under the bus for not playing the greatest schedule in the world. It's not like anyone was even remotely close to beating them aside from LSU who couldn't beat them in regulation.

Also, Alabama was the only team to beat Penn State prior to Paterno(8-1) being fired. Penn State may have finished 1-2(9-3) regardless but they were the only ones to beat Paterno.

So... I'm hoping for Oklahoma State but I believe Alabama is the better team and probably more deserving.

+16 @Penn State
+17 @Miss State
+28 @Auburn
+28 @Florida
+45 @Ole Miss

-3 LSU(OT)
+24 Georgia Southern
+24 Arkansas
+31 Tennessee
+34 Vanderbilt
+41 Kent State
+41 North Texas

That's 9 wins by four scores or more.

OK State without question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have seen that game already. Don't want to see it again.

I think bama lsu are the two best teams, which the bcs is suppose to pair the best two. at the same time it would go against the argument the regular season is a playoff because bama would be done if that were true. I don't know, this is the kind of year a playoff would be awesome, or just give lsu the trophy.

so if Bama beats them in the title game, what does it prove, nothing really, they will have split their two games, which means you have 2 teams that have the same record
this has been my beef with the BCS, if a team can not win it own division why should they get a shot at the National Title
LSU won their 1st meeting and won the division and conference Title
BAMA had their chance and LOST
they don't deserve a shot

It's not LSU's fault for being in the same division though.

What if LSU had lost to Georgia? Would you then argue LSU shouldn't be in the championship because they can't even win their own conference?

What if Oregon won the Pac12 with their only loss coming out of conference to the #1 team in the country? Should they be punished because they chose to schedule LSU OOC?

This logic would have eliminated Oregon from having a rematch despite being 11-1 conference champions and it would have eliminated LSU for not winning their conference if they lost to Georgia. Obviously none of that happened but that's essentially the logic being used. Here's a question... if Oklahoma State can't beat a team that six other teams beat, why should they get a shot at a team that no one has beaten?

Alabama's sole loss was to the only undefeated team in the country and when the dust settled after four quarters, nothing had been decided. They were tied to start the game and they were tied at the end of regulation. You really think Oklahoma State should be rewarded because they didn't have to play LSU? I feel confident in saying that Alabama wouldn't have lost to Iowa State. So in other words, they're being punished for losing to the #1 team in OT. They might want to contemplate going to the Big East then so they can avoid said punishment.

LSU wins by 25+ if there's a rematch. They're far better than Alabama and not playing on Bama's turf.
