This game made me see the light. The 5 that were out there on the floor the final 10 minutes or so of this game are the core of this team(Bryce included once he gets back to 100%). The rest are subs to spell guys period. Fran knows this and you can tell with the playing time tonight. We have Marble, Olgesby, Gatens, Basabe, White, and Cartwright when he is back to full speed. That is blatently obvious after tonight. And it is exciting since you have two freshman and two sophmores out of that bunch. White is truly impressive and only drives home the fact that Fran knows how to recruit. Nice interview after the game too. Marble has improved unbelievably from last year. Great win as they all are.
 
To heck with that, we accepting mediocrity? This team is 8-5 which is pathetic.

How much we paying this guy?
 
This team is coming together baby just in time for the BIG. Starting to play the right people. Be afraid...or mildly aware.:)
 
dude, we are still a very young team. All the older players recruited by an idiot. this team is starting gell and peak at the right time. the road will be bumpy, but I want to see one thing....improvement.

I have no other expectations for this team right now.

I think you can throw McCabe on that list as well. He will give this team good minutes and bring a "don't **** with me attitude."

I do like him but I like him to come off the bench. He certainly can contribute.
 
Really nice crowd at CHA tonight and a great game. Iowa could have buckled numerous times, but they were able to right the ship and use tough D to generate offense. White is a Ryan Bowen clone....dude is everywhere....getting boards, steals, tips and running the floor.

McCabe, May and Brommer are hard to figure out. McCabe is too slow to stay with guys, so he grabs and picks up bad fouls. I thought people said he can shoot, but I haven't seen that either. May hit a big 3 tonight, but was 1-6 and makes some awful decisions when he has the ball in transition. Brommer seems be a 2-3 minute per half sub for Basabe, which is far less than I hoped for based on some of his performances last season.
 
Stop defending Cartwright. He just isn't good. No more injury excuse. He shouldn't even play 10 minutes. This team thrives off Marble.
 
I think the tremendously exciting thing about Iowa BB is the fact that the players that Fran has brought in (White, Oglesby, Basabi, Marble, Cartwright) are better than the ones that were there before, and are obviously good players. Add in the new recruits, and you start to believe that this program can get a lot better. Fran also oozes passion and credibility. Wow, it is easy to get excited about Iowa BB again.

You must have missed last year. Shut up. Have you ever played with a hamstring injury? No? We have seen him play over an entire season. He is good. You are not.
