As regards your first point, we're just losers sitting at a computer whining about the officiating and not the "dean" of B1G basketball coaches who, much like Bob Knight and one or two before him, pounded the scorer's table, gestured, yelled, glared, filled officials' heads to the point it was effective in helping their teams in the way in which the game was called.

Did you not watch the game and see Fran hit the scorers table? Hawk fans are about as emotionally blind as any I've seen. An Iowa player gets nicked and WHAT A GREAT CALL. Late in the game an Iowa player actually does foul, but not a big one and whine whine whine.

One thing that is true that bigger faster and STRONGER players do get calls because they are bigger stronger and quicker. Right about the same time as the "flop" there was a flop by an Iowa player. If a few of you had ever played ball and taken a charge you would know you fall back to absorb the impact. Calls come and go in the game. Iowa lost due to

Michigan State is stronger and quicker

Michigan State although down in talent is still more talented than Iowa

When one team is not quite there, each possession is more critical and thus 2ndary issues are more important. We are simply not top third of the B1G.
