This is just a bad defensive program. It’s been been a problem going back to the Davis era but under Fran has been worse. Davis at least put full court pressure on that rattled opponents at times.

Lots of players are drawn to Iowa and Fran ball...run up and down the court...shoot long balls, don't get hurt or worn out playing defense, take a break, go run and gun again...I love this ball...but you lost?...I love this ball

I think this too - they don't have any quit in them, but they don't seem to settle in and play together, either, which is really necessary to play good d.

Cook is a great player that I’m happy to have, but he doesn’t play near as hard as Baer and Kriener. Those guys are on the absolute edge of the knife all the time and if you could get guys with Cook and JB’s talent level to play like that you’d have a mister in your hands.

The best example I can think of is (even though I hate the kid) Greyson Allen. He goes balls out all game long and has the talent to top it off.
