I'm honestly hoping for Correa at SS. Even if he is an eventual 3B. I think I like him and then go for the arm with your later picks.

If they get him I would think Castro would be available. In my mind everyone is available on this team, and Castro would bring back huge dividends so I wouldn't mind seeing it happen.

I'd be surprised if he was still there at #6 but I sure wouldn't mind if he was the pick.

I have to agree with you on Correa, this draft is not deep with quality position players but there is some pitching depth in this draft.

For those of you hoping to see Rizzo for the upcoming Interleague series', it doesn't sound like it's happening. Sveum said there are no plans to call up Rizzo for interleague, and that Soriano will DH.

Which makes complete sense. Hope Soriano gets on a little hot streak as DH, showing AL contenders he would be an effective DH for the next couple years. They've already made it known they'll eat up to $45M.

I would like to get Correa or Almora. However, I really don't think drafting Correa means that Castro would be available. Correa is 3-5 years away from the bigs, and Castro is a proven Major League hitter. The reason not to pick Correa is we went SS-3B last year with Baez. And we have Castro and Junior Lake. We need pitching depth, but I think Almora and Correa will be too appealing. Keep in mind that Epstein in the past loves Major League ready SP. This could point back to Wacher as a possibility. It would be sweet to get Almora and sign Soler. We then have a potential OF in 4-6 years of Brett Jackson, Soler, and Almora.

I'm not saying Castro should be traded but I would be more willing to trade him for the reason you stated. We have Lake, or could get a trade for a ready SS taht could replace Castro, and then we get some really good prospects in return. Most of the pitchers in the draft are several years a way too. I think Baez is a 3B of the futre for the cubs. If the cubs got Correa and traded Castro for an adequate SS and some SP prospects that would be a big win for the cubs.

A side note on Castro, who I like, but I don't think he's the savior of the club. He has 4 walks this year and his defense though improving isn't amazing. I think he's good, and could be great, but if you can get 3 or 4 really good prospects out of it you have to think about it. Don't give him a way, but if someone blows your mind maybe you need to do it. i don' tthink this happens but yo unever know.

At what point to you give up on Carlos? Clearly he can't pitch in the Majors this year. I would send him to Iowa for awhile to figure out. He clearly has no confidence or control. It seems like the Cubs lose nearly every game he pitches in.

Actually the Cubs seem to lose nearly every game regardless of whose pitching.
