No way. The NIT has always been a loser's consolation prize. Being the best of the shitty teams is like bragging that you can whisper the loudest.

A 2 seed in the NIT also means that you're closer to the bottom of the Big 10 than the top. How's that for some perspective?
 
Well the haters and the fire Fran crowd got what they wanted. Iowa exceeded pre season expectations but there are so many bandwagon fans here. Good luck rooting for our next opponent.

I'm not talking about people who are pissed about this game. There's about 5 or 6 who actually are pleased when Iowa plays bad and only predict gloom and doom.
 
Disappointing loss no doubt.....but I love this team and it's future.
Our 4 freshman:
Bohannon - 24 points, 10 assists
Pemsl - 14 points, 11 boards
Moss - 11 points, 5 steals
Cook - 8 points, 7 boards (in limited action due to ticky tack foul calls.)

Tip my cap to Indiana tonight, they played one hell of a game.

To all the negative douchebags on this board.....ur the ones that sucked tonight.
 
Totally unexpected. I thought this was a gimmee. Just a terrible night. And the difference between the NCAA and the NIT. Too bad.

Lets win the NIT and give these youngsters a taste of success.

I'm not happy with this game or a lot of the play this season but I'm not a fool. This team has a lot of potential. Defense is almost never good with freshman. Most got by on talent in high school but when they get to college they have to be taught and it never comes quickly.

Don't confuse passion with negativity. And if you are irritated by people acting douchey, an anonymous college sports forum probably isn't for you.

You have a loser perspective! If you're not winning the NCAA championship then you're a loser. There's some great fans on here that understand that. Only championships matter and they care about that and only that and they prove that by attacking 18-22 year olds and calling for the heads of coaches that can't win championships!!!!

The NIT is always riding on one thing: how much the teams in it care about playing and winning. If a team full of JoBo-s show up, Iowa will head to NYC in a couple of weeks. If Jok's lack of effort is infectious, it'll be one-and-done. The freshmen have to take over this team in the next six days.

I'm just used to seeing you praise Baer in every thread -- even ones talking about other players.

I figured the game thread and calling out Jok (which you are right about) that this thread would be the most logical and a consistent place for you to do it.

It really is difficult to know what is going on, but from an outsider's perspective, one has to wonder if Jok's lazy effort on D has been infectious...
