Which BTen coach would be your first choice to hang out with and have a beer?

Of course it would be KF so we could talk Iowa and I could meet the legend. But, I think the question is just a personality thing, not team specific. Even so, KF would be high on my list. He is a real dude.

I would go with Dan Lanning from Oregon with Coach Cig and Indiana a close second. If I am having a beer with a coach, I want them to be intense winners who can tell war stories.

I have to admit, Coach Cig jumped up my ladder quite a bit with his response to a typical softball question lobbed by BTen network hosts during BTen media days. When asked "At this point in your coaching career, what brings you the most satisfaction?" Expecting a predictable "Seeing youngsters grow into young men during my time with them", or something like that, instead he replied, "Beatin' somebody's ass...then goin' into the locker room and singin' the fight song."
Cracked me up. That dude isn't taking a back seat to anybody. Listening to how he's had the same coaches with him since they were at DII, then James Madison, and now Indiana, another coach's journey to the BTen came to mind: Hayden Fry. I see a lot of similarities.

Definitely Bert. One beer would turn into twelve, and you're likely to end up on some private jet on the way to Vegas or something for a 3-day bender.

Besides KF it'd be BB for sure. The 2 of them together could be pretty fun as well. BB is a great story teller he's got a lot of em and obviously KF does too. KF with a couple drinks in him in a relaxed environment would be an extremely fun person to sit down with.
