Offering 8th graders

Sandusky was offering kids younger than that...

Too soon?

Yeah, a little too soon. It is the golden rule: If you have to debate whether it is inappropriate or not.......then it probably is. It made me smirk for a minute then I was like I can't be laughing at jokes about this stuff. On the other hand if Tosh had made that joke I would probably be laughing. I don't know, man.

Pity if the lad suffers an injury, then it will be from Bama, "Jesus? Machado? Sorry, never heard of him." Next.

This is nuts. It's easy enough to remedy too. You should be required to complete your sophomore year in high school or equivalent to qualify for a college athletic scholarship offer. All sports!

There is a local girl here, in the 8th grade, that was offered a scholarship from Louisville to pitch softball. It isnt just football or big money sports.

I'm waiting for the day when somebody offers a full ride to somebody in their 30s or 40s who never went to college but is still good enough to suit up...and does.

Since there are no amateur leagues to be discovered in, one would probably have to walk on and try out. I am pretty sure there have been military persons try out and make it elsewhere after serving a stint in military, but have not heard of anyone in their 30s or 40s. I saw a story on Hershel Walker and that guy still runs something like a 4.5 40 now, so maybe there is an old guy out there that will give it a shot some day.
