Off topic but someone explain Texas

Worst HC in d-1a by far. Doesn't have to step out of state to get huge talent every year and they lose like they have over the past several years. They should be in the top 10 every year based on talent alone.

Mack Brown... does less with more. Unreal talent and good coordinators. Cant believe he will survive. Kiffen seems to be in this realm as well.

I'm in a cbs sports College FB pool and was the only guy in my pool about 20 guys to pick that upset last night. Texas is just lazy. It permeates all people associated with the university. Snooty, don't get my hands dirty types. Living down here you can spot these azzholes a mile away.

KF could take that job and win the Liitle 8 every year. Great developer of talent but can't recruit. He would become Alabama Lt with that talent down there. Not a good game day coach but you don't need to with talent like that.

MACK BROWN is the problem but Texas will not fire him no way no how. He and Deloss Dodds are tied at the hip and most UT fans love them both. Mack is within a year or 2 of having the most wins at Texas as head coach, and that is topping DKR. Deloss Dodds is retiring after next year so I assume Mack will retire as well if he gets the winning record or not. Mack is the turd in the punch bowl there at this point but he won't be fired. But look out when they get to hire a new coach. It will be basically anyone they want (Including Saban), doubt it happens but they could park a Brinks truck bigger than Bama's in front of his house and give him the keys to Texas. Will Saban leave probably not but you know damn well UT will call. UT is 1 awesome coach from being Alabama part deux in a heart beat. Mack has been ******* up texas for years now, its stupid how someone could do that with the advantages Texas has but he has managed to do it.

Worst coach in America. I would think you would have to try to screw up that gig with all the built in advantages.

Well, they gave up 29 points a game last season. Gave up the most rushing yards ever in a 1st half, and game, last night. The previous 4 highest first halves were last season. The defense has been getting worse, rather than better.

Malaise is close on their problems. The biggest problem is how the kids are worshiped, told how great they are, given everything. . . while growing up. They're used to being the best and have never known anything different. You should see the facilities the high schools in the suburbs around here have, they're amazing. While they've put in the effort to get where they are, they don't realize that they may have to learn new things, that the guy on the other side is just as good, but hungrier. Mack can pick and choose who he wants and has missed on a bunch of guys. Here's a quick list of QB's that would have gone to Texas, Manziel, RG III, and Jameis Winston.

Brown consistently gets outworked on the recruiting trail. Yes, he lands a bunch of obvious 4 and 5 stars, but his recruiting isn't nearly nuanced enough to evaluate things like long-term potential, position changes, and team chemistry. The number of All-Americans from Texas that the Longhorns simply ignored in the recruiting game is pretty astounding to think about. Think about this--in the 2012 NFL Draft, 3 of the top 8 picks were QBs who went to high school in Texas. None of them were ever even offered by Texas.

Yep and that list alone should get him fired. Probably 2 more national titles with RG3 and Manziel. And I will never understand why he didn't pursue Winston.... Mind blowing. And all 3 of those guys wanted to go to Texas, it wasn't a matter of recruiting them at all. He thought Manziel and RG3 should be Db's if I remember right and I don't know how he ****ed up with the Winston kid.

You sure there ain't something mentally wrong with Mack?

Im going with senile because at Texas you should not be this **** poor ever, there is no excuse for it.

He should have been fired after ISU won in Austin let alone beat Texas for the first time in ISU's history. Lets be honest ISU should never beat Texas.

Texas also recruited Michael Crabtree to play D. I think it is safe to assume they would have gone undefeated in '08 with Crabtree as a WR.

Keep in mind that with Luck, Tannehill, RGIII, Manziel, and Crabtree, Mack's offensive coordinator--who was also a major player in the decision not to recruit those guys on offense--was Greg Davis.

Wowza, I didn't know this. Not surprising with Macks history though. Good gawd just think of what a competent coach could have done there within the last decade.
