Didn't Iowa already lose to PSU and Northwestern, though?

yes...if the we were playing them again...who would you bet on? I would bet on Iowa. I honestly believe if Iowa played both teams five times...Iowa would would win 3 or 4 against each. Stanley was jr high QB bad against Penn State and Iowa's offensive game plan was awful against NW. No way either of those happen again.

I have posted several times that Iowa doesn’t have any quality wins this year. Well I don’t know what to say here about Iowa State. You all know that I had said two years ago that their coach had something going on in Ames and that I thought if the powers that be are willing to pay to keep this coach that Iowa State would be on the way back. They been bad so long that I even doubted my own analysis.

Looking at the Hawkeyes bowl projections is just sad for a team that looked so promising this year. It’s been maddening to think about Wisconsin’s dominance over us. Now we have to talk about Northwestern???

They beat 3 top 25, only bad loss is to TCU. I'd say their fringe. I dont think we played like a top 25 team, but surprised we didnt sneak back in.

If we win a bowl and they do not I agree with you, hard to say wed jump them of we have the same record at the end of the year even tho we beat them straight up. They've just beaten better teams.

I’d say it doesn’t matter right now. Iowa will be ranked if they win their bowl game. They won’t be ranked if they loose. Kirk has $125k (maybe $150k if he can get ranked in top 20) riding on this bowl game.

I think, just conjecture, if we win it will come against a ranked opponent. Maybe not for ISU

IMO Iowa State will be in the Alamo bowl vs a ranked pac 12 team.

Almost every projection i see is camping world bowl. The first 6 i looked at....every one.

Depends if OU gets into the playoffs or not. I would think Alamo would sell more tickets for State, unless they want the Leach Holgerson matchup more.

A lot of my friends are clone fans..i live in waterloo, home of murders and john deere. Lots of engineering b@stards. I am ok with ISU doing well if its less than the Hawks. Lol that being said, my knowledge of their team, players, prospects is about as good as one of those football wives wearing a team jersey and knowing just the Qb's name lol and i dont know ISU freshman qb name

What signature win could we have possibly had? ISU is 7-4, NIU is 7-5, the rest of our wins are .500 and below teams. Had we beaten NW, they'd have been 7-5, Wisconsin would have been 6-6, Purdue 5-7, even PSU would have been only 8-4.

The schedule was so weak that there really weren't any signature wins to be had, unless you count PSU.

Truth... strait up. There's no need to try spinning it differently.
