No bowl game for Iowa?

Detroit is only bad in some areas....it could be worse than the Pizza Pizza bowl.

It has always been a rule, the 7 win teams must be taken before the 6 win teams can be selected.

Check your updated rule book sir....this doesnt apply to the big ten slotting. The last 5 bowl affiliations can select ANY bowl eligible team regardless of # of wins

This year there are fewer teams that might get to 6 wins, so Iowa will fill in at different bowl.

We play @ Purdue and @ Nebraska. We suck on the road.

Purdues' only loss at home this season was against Notre Dame. They have beaten MN, Illinois and now fOSU at home. We are no better than any of those three teams. Iowa hasn't won a single road game this year.

@ Nebraska, are you serious? Nebraska is playing for a conference title and a BCS berth. Yes MSU is in the drivers seat in the division but Nebraska knows if they win out then MSU is one misstep away from losing the title. That misstep may come @ NW in their final game of the season.

We finish 6-6 and will probably be a filler for one of the open slots that remains due to not enough teams being eligible.

Who cares? If they go 6-6 they don't deserve to go to a bowl game. I don't care if they get another 118 practices.

As a fan I personally would like the the opportunity to watch my favorite team play an extra game. Just saying.These players started playing football because they loved to play. Getting to play in a bowl game, any bowlgame, is a good thing for them. Are really to the point that we are complaining about making a bowl game.Sad.Go Hawks! Win OR lose!

My brother and I give each other Iowa bowl t-shirts for Christmas. When they don't go to a bowl, then we're stuck trying to figure out what to give each other.
