FWIW, this site shows Iowa as a sixth seed in the NIT.

My Dad's yearbooks go back to 40's (he taught there) and none of those games had quarters. It would have to predate that.Interesting. Actually I was going to start a thread asking people's thoughts on playing a quarter system. The women have gone to it. I like the idea and find it a little more exciting.
