That's what coaches are supposed to do: create, heck, force unity in the locker room. Good coaches, that is. How many times do you think KF has already arbitrarily forced unity in the locker room? Maybe in the, for example, Beujter situation? Who got punched out, there?? Or the rhabdo situation? And are you really suggesting substituting incoming freshmen with Law would make Iowa's defense better? Really? What if a starting safety (or any corner) goes down? How does KF feel about freshmen compared to upperclassmen?
Ferentz is screwing up HIS favorite and trusted part of the team: the defense. I want to know what's his motivation for doing that.
If Ferentz's staff attempted to placate the player offended at that early hour so the player would drop his law suite and the player refused, I know, as coach, which player I would've asked to transfer... and I believe Ferentz would've asked, as well, with KF's all for team mentality... and it wouldn't have been Law.
So you would've felt better if KirFer had told the guy who blindsided another player, then kicked him while he was down that it's all good. No biggie. And you would've felt better if he told the guy who was blindsided and kicked whilst down to STFU, cuz it's for the good of the team.
OK. Sounds like a good idea. Lemme know how your coaching career is going. Kthx.
