He was offered by Western Illinois, Southern Illinois and Robert Morris but not FBS schools. Hawkeye coaches are happy to get him as a walk-on. He was set to walk on at Iowa State before Iowa gave him the opportunity.

He has scholarship offer from a couple FCS schools I believe. Getting him to walk on instead is a nice get. Not anything earth shattering, but he was a JUCO All American.

He was an ISU walk on commit, so that is funny we flipped him there as well.

Funny, he earlier said it was a dream to play for ISU, then was just quoted as saying it's been a dream for him to play for Iowa. Glad we were able to come through with one if his dreams. Ha.

His "dream" is probably to just play for a P5 school. Unless ISU is your only option most people will jump ship any chance they get. Nobody wants to be riding the short bus to 3 wins a year in Ames.
