If we go down that route then we have to tell Raimond Braithwaite to hit the road. Chris Doyle is in all likelihood a total POS, but he was undeniably the absolute best in the business at his job of making really really big, really really strong football players, and Braithwaite has learned the trade under him. I say use your knowledge, Raimond, and we keep using Black In Black.

Yeah I had a trucker who came through the office to drop off paperwork, he's from Pender and knows I'm a Hawk.

Told me he heard the Iowa cheerleaders were gonna wear white hoods this year...:rolleyes:

I don't even respond other than to say we'll work it out in November or whenever the game actually happens.

The thing that really sucks is no matter what happens with players and staff, even if they come together and boot the bad apples, and create a good atmosphere...every time we beat the huskers for the next decade the excuse is gonna be, "But...but...but...RACISM!!"

Yeah, I am with ya, Back In Black is just fine where it is followed by Sandman. Braithwaite has already been pretty universally praised by the Iowa players past and present.
 
I'm for keeping as is if only because good luck suggesting something I'd like better. Call it comfort or whatever but Those songs were right in my wheelhouse time wise. They may as well have been made for what Iowa's been using them for. But that's just me. Tinkering with it would lead to more tinkering with it. The odds of finding another song or 2 that hit like those do that we'd want to use for 20 yrs or so is what? So why get rid of a good thing that obviously works just for the sake of change?
 
This needs to be the teams new song. Adopting it proves we are not racist/sexist/pedophile/homophobes . . . then again maybe it does ?????? . . . screw it, I wanna see these moves adopted by the team as they come out of the closet, I mean tunnel . . .

 
Iowa women's basketball used this as their intro song in '18-'19 (radio edit, of course), I always thought this one was pretty sweet:

Iowa football used this one for a summer workout hype video a few years ago...not appropriate for Kinnick stadium, but still a good pump up song:

 
If they played AC DC for a couple games and changed it up for others that'd be okay. Maybe just save it for the first game of the season. Some change would be good.

Hell they're still chest thumping their NCs from the 90s. You're absolutely right they'll never let this go.

More relevant today than ten years ago. I want to keep Back in Black, Enter Sandman and Crazy Train. But this could be added in somewhere.
