I don't know but hopefully he can at least send out some creepy valentine's day cards. When can we expect the poster touting all of his national championships?
I agree here. Pass blocking needs work. New QB, new coaches.... it will be hard to be patient, and I'll need to keep reminding myself that all season. This will take a while to get things rolling. I hope we can all remember that. One thing that has to improve is our pass blocking, hopefully it gets a lot better.
Hopefully these new coaches don't try to put square pegs in round holes. The pass blocking wasn't bad. The schemes wereOne thing that has to improve is our pass blocking, hopefully it gets a lot better.
I have a friend who's a huge NDSU fan and knows Polasek. He said Polasek is a real charismatic guy and a great recruiter. However he also said that him and his dad aren't sad to see him go and that as the OC he cost them a few wins during the Wentz era. Whatever that means.
the NDSU forums seem to hate that he's leaving, so thats a good thing

At least in the surface, these hires look good. Hard to now how the chemistry will work. Time will tell.
To get KOK as a QB coach with his experience and TP as the OL coach with his experience is pretty solid. Throw in Copeland, who has been recruiting Chicago and the Midwest, and these are potentially three really good hires.

Rob, would he be a stretch to think that maybe Brian has been able to assert a little more influence on the old man and the direction of the program? These hires look like a nice refresh.
OC's will always take the brunt of criticism, it is the nature of the position.
There's a middle ground there somewhere. Pass blocking still comes down to one man being able to keep the other in front of him. Now on plays where the Dline is stunting and blitzing and there's a mix up and guys are coming in untouched then yeah that's for sure a scheme/coaching issue or player missing an assignment. But if a DE is coming off the edge and just gets around the tackle or pushes him into the QB that's just getting physically beat. Both of those types of things happened all year long. I don't know which was more prevalent than the other but safe to say improvement for all of the above is needed.Hopefully these new coaches don't try to put square pegs in round holes. Will those still be around when Campbell is delivering pizzas? When can we expect the poster touting all of his national championships?

I believe replacing those who left. This is the first year that schools can increase their staff by 1 if I'm not mistaken, so it may be a combination of both.Is the program simply replacing departing coaches? Or increasing the size of the staff? If it's the latter, why wait 18 years to pull the trigger on that?
I do. When I wrote that BF was the best choice for OC, a main reason was his ability to reach his father. I'm not sure anybody from the outside could do that and certainly not any better.
