New floor at Carver??

the practice design is the same, but will be on the same parkay or whatever wood.

I like it, even though I really liked that Oregon-like design with the Flying Herky watermark. THAT was cool.

Yea, the design will be the same as seen on the practice court. They have already stripped and sanded the floor and will have it repainted by time volleyball season starts in a couple weeks.

It appears that the new premium seating will be retractable, as was the older stuff. My impression had been the new seating would be permanent, though I can't find any sources to that effect. So, the ability to have an expanded practice area in the main arena is preserved, a good thing IMHO. OTOH, it would seem to indicate the AD intends to preserve the 'multipurpose' character of Carver, which some (including me) feel detracts from it's home court advantage for MBB.

I wish they would change the 'Mediacom Court' lettering to just plain black print or something else less conspicuous than Mediacom's cartoony-looking logo. I wonder if Barta would or could re-negotiate the agreement where Mediacom pays less but doesn't get their actual trademark on the floor. You've got to keep your dignity wherever you can when your program is struggling.
