I also grew up on a farm, but as you go west in Nebraska you see more and more corn, fueled by more and more irrigators. They are growing corn in colorado and Wyoming now. Also, Nebraska is #3 in corn production (11% of U.S. production) behind Iowa (18%) and Illinois (17.5%). they are also 5th in soybean production. (Iowa is number 1)
Didn't Iowa used to encourage fans to bring canned goods? Maybe that was the Fall Family day event.
I'd like to see the Athletic department allow fans/kids onto the field afterwards to run around.
