I was working in Omaha during the spring before the fusckers started Big Ten play. The manager was a typical head up the ass Debby Dipshit that was always saying things that strongly suggested Nebraska football was too good for the B1G and was doing the conference a favor by joining. One day he asked me where Madison was, as if a husker fan wouldn’t know of such petty things. I told him he would have plenty of time to figure it out on the quiet ride home after a husker defeat. I then told him the same applied to any other quiet rides home after a road game. I don’t think it registered with him that I wasn’t joking.

One thing that link failed to mention was their Heisman trophy winners, it’s one of their favorite topics when clinging to the past.
 


Not much love for the delusional busker fans. I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln in the mid 60’s and Nebbie was actually winning and sell outs were real. I had no time for them then, so watching their ongoing dumpster fire Big Ten membership is sweet.

My big heartburn about Debby began in 1979. I know I know, get over it....however...

Roger Craig, a Davenport Central product, was courted by Hayden Fry.

Not sure what Debby paid him, but RG thumbed his nose at Iowa and kept on truckn on I-80 past exit 242 all the way to Lincoln.

Fast forward to 1981. Iowa beat RG, Rozier and Debby at Kinnick 10-7 with Phillips out rushing both. Our first half 10 points held up.

I was there. Field mobbed. Butt hurt somewhat assuaged. But I've never liked RG or Debby since.
