Dumb question.......How does Rafferty work for Fox and CBS at the same time?

From what I could find, he has a contract for special events with CBS and a contract with Fox for regular games. Don't hold me to it, though. ;)

Rebel flag hanging very low right now at the state capitol in south carolina.....

However it will flying high if the women defeat Mississippi State, who took UConn down last night.....

He is a good color analyst, but is he worth all that? Clark Kellogg wasn't great, add a third person and he is alright. In the days of cost cutting, it just seems like it would be cheaper to go with Nantz,Kellogg and fill in the blank third dude.

One of the first games of the season, I watched the tarheels play

And thought that they would win the national championship based solely on that

I hope I am wrong

Found this on the Washington Post of all places.....

It takes only one piece of evidence to prove Gonzaga’s worthiness as a powerhouse. Zach Collins decided to play there, and he comes off the bench. The 7-foot freshman might be playing in the NBA this time next year. He is an elite talent, and the Zags wield him only in spurts. He has the confidence and skills to swing a game, and he did so Saturday night.

In the locker room before the game, Collins told Nigel Williams-Goss, his roommate, “I wouldn’t want to be playing against me today.” Then he backed it up. Collins came off the bench to produce this staggering line: 14 points, 13 rebounds, six blocks in 23 minutes. The combination of mountains Przemek Karnowski and Collins, both of whom have mastered the defensive concept of verticality, forms an effective wall in the low block.

Gonzaga might be able to stop Kennedy Meeks who has dominated every game I watched this season. Przemek Karnowski and the freshman Zach Collins are a definite force inside, and also almost unstoppable around the basket.....

North Carolina only shot 36.8% from the field with Meeks hiting 11 of 13 so if Karnowski and Collins can hold him down a bit, the Zags could emerge victorious Monday Evening.....

Looks to be another great game similar to last year's Championship Game. Watched that one with daughter Kate who remarked after the winning shot that she really liked how Arcidiacono screened for Jenkins after passing the ball. l hadn't noticed that at the time.....

Go Zags.....

I am going the other way on this one. Last year Carolina struggled with outside shooting until the last game where Paige and company shot lights out. What happen was those shots that normally fell inside the paint didn't that night and Villanova won. I think this year, Meeks and company make those put backs, those 8 footers go in this year and Carolina wins.

Going to be a close one, I do believe. Don't want Roy to win the sixth national championship for the tarheels though. My feelings for roy go beyond despicable.....

Meeks is virtually unstoppable this season, and he makes it look easy most of the time. Woody played him very well at north carolina three years ago, I believe. That was one of Fran's best wins at Iowa.....

South Carolina is not the classiest of teams to come down the pike.....

From the NYT:

Few’s South Carolina counterpart, Frank Martin, overcame a hardscrabble childhood to build a successful career in coaching, and his tailored suits cannot hide his rough edges. His intensity, embodied by his icy sideline stare, has rubbed off on his players. After warm-ups, the Gonzaga players gathered in a circle, and as they were breaking apart, a few South Carolina players sauntered through the huddle, bumping a few of the Bulldogs as they passed.

Then, before the opening tip, Gonzaga center Przemek Karnowski approached Thornwell, one senior to another, and extended his hand. Thornwell, the Gamecocks’ leading scorer, brushed past him, leaving Karnowski to stare quizzically at Thornwell’s back and shrug.

“Maybe that’s how he is,” Karnowski said after the game. “I don’t really know him personally.”

However.....

Congratulations to the South Carolina Women who won the NCAA National Championship.....!

What is NC's offense? Throw up anything with 5 seconds and crash the boards.

Crappy shooting teams.
