Not saying it is going to happen this year but when was the last time/how many times has multiple teams from Iowa made the NCAA Tournament?

Curious to find out the teams and years it has happened.

Thought this would make Thursday afternoon go by a little better for some at work....ready GO!

Didn't UNI and Drake make it the same year a couple seasons ago?

The only year Drake went to the NCAA with another school from Iowa was 1970, the year Iowa won the Big Ten and got upset by Jacksonville in the NCAA tournament. Drake has only been to the NCAA tournament 4 times.

No. ISU needs to win one of they're final 3 games, probably 2, to be a lock. They have 1 quality win. ISU is 1-5 against top 50 RPI.

I would think ISU is in. But if what you are saying is true, this will be no easy task. There last three games are tough!

I don't see this happening unless they some how beat Baylor at home. I would think a 10-8 conference and 20-12 overall record gets a team from the Big 12 into the tournament. I thought last nights game clinched it for them.

But if I am wrong it won't be the first time nor will it be the last.

This is a joke right? Iowa State is already a lock for the tournament.

If they drop their last 3 and lose in the first round of the tournament? I think they'd go from a lock to a bubble team, trending the wrong direction.

lol at it this way, assuming they lose out and get beat in the btt, they would go. 3-7 vs the top half of the conference. not exactly impressive.

Iowa deserves credits for 3 wins over ranked teams. But you should also remember that you only got Michigan State and Michigan and Ohio State once. That's a hell of an advantage.

You'll also notice that Iowa State is currently tied for 3rd in the conference.

Iowa State's tournament profile is very similar to Purdue. In fact, in some ways Iowa State is more qualified than Purdue.

They are out. They cannot win against K-State and Mizz on the road.. and they can't beat Baylor at home. They will lose to K-State first round of BIG12. 4 losses in a row.. they are OUT. Sorry Clones.

That is why those teams are at the top of Big Ten? :)

After looking at the Bubble, ISU will have to lose 4 games in a row to not get in. Even then, they will still have a good chance.
