NC A&T TV?

If I go in to McDonalds because they are advertising free Big Macs then I damn sure better get my Big Mac. If I do then I will also gladly purchase other food products from their store not only on that occasion but also into the future....that is assuming the product is good.

The Big10 **** on itself when they offered the free monthly subscription and then decided to pull the rug from underneath us. If I liked what I saw then I would gladly purchase games going forward online. I have an HDMI cable coming from my PC that leads into my HD TV.

I pay for DirecTV primarily for the sports and movie channels. I don't have a need for the other 1000 channels of ridiculous programming that comes along with these two basic categories. I spend copious amounts of money monthly for this service. If I can figure out a way to get my Hawkeyes and a few other shows over the internet for significantly less then I would gladly do it.

Big10 Network lost out on an opportunity to show a lot of fans what they could produce. Bad marketing plan imo.

Can you imagine having this discussion two years ago when Lickliter was still the coach?

I couldn't fathom caring enough to pirate the signal back then.

We've come a long way, baby!

+1. The BTN pitch was you can see it all on our network. Now its you have to have the right highspeed internet with the right TV package oh then by the way you need to belong to the .com and pay a fee to see the games. BS. if we can find it streamed compliments of the WWW. My laptop and HDMI cord is pluging in to my 60 inch HDTV cause i'd rather not throw my cash away.

Where did you see that BTN was offering a free monthly subscription? The only place I seen it was someone starting a topic with the code in the thread, which sounds like it was not supposed to be public information. So tell me how BTN "pulled the rug" from under us?

All of this arguing makes me yearn for the halcyon days when EVERY game was on KDSM. The changes to television have greatly helped CFB, but the changes have really hurt the fan experience for CBB.

Agreed now you have to have a masters in technology to find the games at times.

Some of your guys are totally pathetic. You "had a code"....really. How do you know where the code originated from? Did anyone get that code from the actual Big10 site? Somebody posted it (who knows how they got it) and you think that now the Big10 should just honor it? Seriously grow up and act like adults. Do you teach your kids that if the company doesn't give it to you for free, then you should just steal it? So steal the video feeds, steal music online, steal your cable, your satellite, your phone, just steal it, because damn it we deserve it free!!!

Yes

It's garbage that we should have to pay extra to watch online when we already pay for the cable package. We're the ones getting stolen from, especially since from what I hear, the online streaming isn't even very good quality.

ESPN3 isn't always high-quality video. But it is free.

Also, do you like to watch homemade highlight videos on YouTube? Congratulations, you're a thief, too.

That is my thoughts. If McDonalds offers free bigmacs, then they should be. If mcdonalds threw in a caveat and only were giving away 1000 bigmacs and you were 1001 then it isn't an issue.
How could teh B1G be dumb enough to not think an online code would be online? If they only wanted a select number of people to use it then they should limit it.

Dean, nobody would be mad if the code wasn't valid, but they allowed me to enter in my CC information, create my account, give me the deal, and then when I log in to watch on gameday it says my account has been pulled? That is terrible business any way you look at it.

Excuses, excuses, excuses...just admit you are to cheap to pay the 10 bucks.

Fact: I'm too BROKE to pay the $10. Seriously, I've got like 6 bucks to my name right now. The DI don't pay much. Plus it's crap that subscribers should have to pay anyway, especially when the products sucks. If it was $100, would anybody pay it? Not likely. It's the principle that's the problem.

There are other sites that charge to post opinions online. You found a free one. You are now stealing!

Can you please explain to me how I am stealing from another site, if I don't go there, and don't use their services? Can you please explain to me how I am stealing from Jon Miller by coming to his site, and paying exactly what he asks me to pay?

Now if Jon asked that I pay $10 a month to post here, and I instead hacked into the site and posed for free, then I would be stealing from Jon. Or if someone found a way to mirror Jon pays site, and offered it for free, that would be stealing also.

Once again, please show me the link where the Big10 networked offered ANYTHING AT ALL? For all you know, someone got a code and posted it all over the internet. What you are saying is that if someone printed up fake free big mac coupons, and that a cashier took your order for the free Big Mac, that the deal is somehow done? That the manager doesn't have a right to come to you at the counter, explain to you that this is a fake coupon, and you won't receive a free Big Mac?

It is almost unbelievable how p!ssed off some people will get when they are told they have to pay for something.....

DOWN WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT!!!

But for real it's a crock....the dude that just argued that no one out of the state cares about the game....BTN airs freakin women's lacrosse some nights...I must have missed the memo when that became a sport worth even broadcasting over an internet radio blog??? let alone a national television network

@deanvogs

The Big Ten Network is no longer publishing any site that displays any current coupon codes, but I can assure you that the one posted on here was an official BTDN coupon code that they agreed on their site to honor through October 31. The problem was that people that used it on November 1 and after (who probably saw it on this or another site that didn't say what date it was honored through) had the coupon initially honored. Most people were able to watch the exhibition game for free but were then unable to watch the opener. The problem was not that the code was an illegitimate code; the problem was that a glitch in their system allowed an expired code to be honored and instead of the BTDN eating the cost of their mistake, they hurt the consumer.

If you had a coupon to a restaurant, turned it in without realizing that it was expired, got your food, took a bite, then had it taken away and told the restaurant was no longer accepting the coupon because it was expired, I think you would be pretty irritated. If a company unintentionally honors a coupon longer than they intended to, they shouldn't retract their honoring of the coupon because I'm CERTAIN that some folks didn't know the coupon code was expired when the used it.

Nobody got their food, nobody took a bite. We are talking about a streaming service here. Even if they gave you 1/2 the month free, once they find the mistake, they don't have to honor the rest of the month.

To Boat, are they charging your CC? If so, that is wrong, and you should be refunded if you didn't want the service. If not, once again, they made a mistake, and they are under no obligation to GIVE you something, when it said it expired on the 31st.

Regardless, we are likely all guilty of this. If you watch highlight videos on YouTube, you are every bit as guilty. And why do we watch those? Because it's fun and we like it. Is that really a better reason than that it's BS, making people pay extra?
