I always considered this song a good cross between Grand Funk Railroad and Yes.

I remember sitting in the back seat, the guy was playing that Head East song, over and over..... the back speaker only played the left channel of the stereo recording...damn that song was about 4 drum beats and 2 chords. over and over and over. and over again. Could not hear the synth or the vocals.
