Just got in touch with Cedrick. I asked him if MSU offer changes anything with Hawkeyes commitment.
He said: "No, not at all. I love Iowa."
Players are still being evaluated, and they haven't even played their Sr. years. Lattimore just picked up a Minnesota offer, and he will get more offers before this is all said and done. We will be lucky if the Detroit kids end up signing with us in Feb.
Here is a good article by Andrew Kuhla at 247 talking about Lattimore and Golston (both had zero P5 offers when they signed with Iowa). Hopefully we can hang onto both of these guys come signing day.

I think you hit on it, Dean. Our offer looks a lot different/better than it did back in May when CL and CG committed.
I sense that the kid knows he was a "fallback", so to speak, for MSU and we jumped in with an offer almost a year ago. I do think that's important.

Rob, Welcome back! Absolutely love the inside recruiting coverage...
Really hope the Hawks can maintain this class until signing day and possibly add a few studs with the remaining scholarships they have?

Yeah, I don't know Rob and am wouldn't gain any advantage in sucking up to him or JM, but Jon really hit it out of the ballpark and getting Rob back on board.
