Most Improved Player - 2015-2016 Season

ANd again this is stupid. Look guys you can make excuses to why Uhl didn't shoot as well as White did as a freshman but the fact that White was a better shooter as a freshman is settled. It's not debatable. Uhl was not as good a shooter as White was a freshman. He wasn't close to as good a shooter from the floor from the line or from the arc.

Again in you can argue that he will improve and be better than white as a Soph, jr, or sr. Have at it and have a blast, but he was a significantly worse shooter as a freshman, period.

And for for those that think improved PT and opportunities automatically increase shooting percentage think again. Look at Matt Gatens from his freshman year where he wasn't counted on for anything and his sophomore year when he was expected to be a big contributor. Tell me what year he shot the ball better.

I knew you would go back to your statistics and percentage argument. Why bring Matt Gatens into this? You need to look no further than Aaron White who went from 27.9% to 22.7% with increased playing time and opportunity his sophomore year. It turns out he wasnt' such a good shooter from three...so he then took 50% less threes his junior year.

Let me say this one last time...then I'm done Forrest...Ok. There are some of us that feel Dom's shot looks better that what Aaron brought to the table in his freshman year. He didn't get the playing time Aaron did nor the shot opps, but it's not a stretch to think that's true. It's my opinion. that's all. You are right, Aaron shot a better percentage than Dom did. You are correct...it's not debatable. The truth is none of are debating that FACT.

That sounds pretty good. I hope he makes a great leap forward this year. Experience and fifteen or twenty pounds would make a lot of difference. My pick for the most improved player is going to be Woodbury. Last year they started to try and feed the post. Woodbury will be a year older and stronger with the weights. Its going to be the last year for Woodbury and I think your going to see a more complete player. My second choice would be Gesell. He looked like a different player the second half of the season last year. I have my doubts he will be a great three point shooter, but he is crafty and experienced. Clemmons will be experienced, but it sounds like it will be hard for him to crack the starting line up. You never know what is going to happen. Hopefully, they will have a year without injuries. They are going to have some guys that know what they are doing.
I expected Woody to make the move last year. While I think he did improve I just don't feel like he has that drive in him to make a big leap. What improvement he does make I would expect it to be defensively.

Its equally as stupid to argue sample size doesn't effect the data and hence the conclusions.

That's what makes this argument pointless.

Drawing conclusions off of 27 attempts would not be something an intelligent person would do.

Reading this thread is like watching someone trying to drive a car on blocks.
