Most exciting Hawkeye game in my lifetime?

I'm 43, and I am having a hard time remembering a better and more exciting finish to an Iowa game. Yes, LSU in the bowl had the last second cache, but the magnitude of this comeback has to rank up there. Thoughts?

There have been tons of exciting games and finishes. But I'd say this is about the biggest comeback I can remember, for sure.

In terms of a 4th quarter comeback yes. The first few quarters were forgettable but the last one I'll never forget.

Not as big a comeback as today but beating MSU on that last second slant was more exciting to me in view of what was still on the line at that point.

I'm 30 and have been watching the Hawks all my life and nothing comes to mind. That bowl game was huge but the momentum swing to win this and to watch the entire team start clicking on all fronts like it did I have never witnessed before. A complete 180 in the fourth quarter. GO HAWKS!

From a pure start to finish excitement stand point, nothing beats '02 Michigan for me. '09 MSU and '05 Cap One Bowl were the most exciting finishes, but this and '09 Indiana were awesome 4th quarters.

Dolph just said it was the biggest comeback in Iowa history. Not sure if it was in Kinnick. Just caught the end of his comment.

The comeback against Indiana in 2009 was similar...down big and then we started making huge plays. We ended up flattening Indiana by 18 though, I think. Certainly we didn't wait until the 4th qtr. to make our move that day.

Indiana 09 was way bigger. That team doesnt go to a BCS game if they lose.

We were down 10 going into the 4th and score 28 4th quarter points that day. McNutt and DJK Bombs and 2 BW Runs.

I was in awe in 2009 when they made that huge come back against Indiana, but this ranks right up there.

Other than the ones already mentioned, one near the top of the list for me would be the '02 Purdue game.

And the ending to '10 UNI game was pretty exciting, considering the bizarre circumstances.

I was at both of those games, so maybe that amps it up a bit in the memory.

2009 Michigan State
Cap One Bowl

were both better / more exciting.

Mainly because Iowa wasn't in this game for most of it and it was an ugly 2+ quarters.

Ahh, but that is the point. We weren't in the game at all. Dead. Done. Over. 1-2 start, and doubts about even qualifying for a bowl. Entire season may have turned today.

Only thing I'm upset about is the fact that we have (clearly) a very good 2 minute offense. Apparently we must not have a very good 1 minute 17 second offense.
