MNF Ending

It actually looked like a good call to me. Both guys had some control of the ball until they wrestled around for it. That means it should go to the offense. Not a Packer fan or hater. No skin in the game. If not a good call, it definitely wasn't the worst call I've ever seen. The regular refs boned things up routinely too.

(The above is excluding the pass interference that was blatant. Just talking about the catch.)

This is wrong.

Always one in the group. You can't be serious dude. How funny!

I've now seen this 1000 times on ESPN...

Both players go up and Jennings catches it and Tate gets his left hand in (right hand debatable as to whether it's on the ball or not). Then as they both come to the ground, Tate takes his right hand completely off as Jennings cradles the ball in. Tate then tries to put his right hand back on the ball as Jennings falls down on top of him. At what point does simultaneous possession come in to any of that?

Bingo. Seen replay many, many times like most everyone. IMO anyone who thinks Tate had hand on ball and that was a TD is only trying to be an instigator.. I'm just not buying what your selling 340..

Dead serious. Tate had his hands on the ball the whole time. There is no degree of control in the rules to my knowledge. If he had some partial control of the ball, he may as well have caught it outright. Do you think he had no control of the ball at all?

No Tate didn't catch it, Jennings catches ball with both hands and has hands on ball the entire damn time and even when Jennings lands he falls with Tate below him. Jennings has both hands on the ball with his his back lying on Tate's Chest. Really dude!!!. I won't respond again to you because I'm just not buying it 340 that you honestly feel that way, nice try bud... Just give it a rest, in this case your flat wrong and only being an instigator..

"Russel Wilson is the first QB in NFL history to win the game by interception." ******* hilarious. Man these refs blew that one big time. It just had to be against my Packers too! Go figure.

Even 2679 says Tate had one hand on the ball the whole time. And I debate the opinion that he didn't have two hands on it. That's simultaneous possession to me.

Jennings had the ball with two hands cradled to his chest. Tate had his ball wedged between jennings' chest and the ball. That is not in any way, shape, or form possession.

Are you a Packers fan? (Is everyone here but me a Packers fan?) It's pretty clear that Tate had some control of the ball. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.

No, not a Packer fan at all.

The issue is about control. Who has it FIRST? Can you answer that question?

One hand (when another guy has it in both hands and is cradling to his chest) would not be considered control or possession.

And if you don't believe me, just turn on ESPN. I'm sure they'll show it again 3218753321 times (give or take a few ;)).

I completely agree that it's about control. And like I said, it looks like they both have some control of the ball but neither has 100% control until several seconds after the play is over. According to the rules, that's a simultaneous catch. Maybe the rule is stupid or needs better definition, but that's not on the refs.

It's a lot like the Pats-Raiders tuck rule game. Correctly called according to the rules (rules that are still in place), and yet people still think the refs screwed up.

He was meaning to say Tate had his HAND wedged between Jennings chest and the Ball.. Only because Tate lands and desperately reaches around with no hand on the ball, to try and knock ball loose that Jennings had intercepted.. . Do you grasp that 340?

Dude if you can't tell that Jennings had control LONG before Tate ever even pretended to have his arms on it, then I don't know what to tell you. Tate NEVER had control of it. Jennings has the ball caught and to his chest in the air.
