It wouldn't surprise me if someone close to her previously not considered a suspect becomes the suspect.

I just can't imagine being the father of either of these girls. I'd have a hard time controlling myself during a trial. I just can't fathom having to go through that. A guy sitting in prison...however difficult, wouldn't be enough. It' just wouldn't.

agreed. Also that colorado guy who apparently strangled his wife and 2 young girls. I dont see how someone could possibly strangle a 2 year old to death...not to mention your own daughter. My brain cant even process it

Yeah, that guy is one sick fvck.

So basically you are pissed because a case you can't identify isn't getting enough attention. That's jackass stupid, IMO.
Yeah, because even the case you were referring to somehow doesn't warrant as much attention because she wasn't a UofI student. Talk about jackass stupid.

Oh, and I'm not talking about attention just on this board in case you want to go that direction.

Saw this tidbit under a pic. Sounds like her body was found on a farm, somewhere around corner of Hwy 21 and 460th St. Looks to be the Lincoln Wildlife area.

A gravel road at the intersection of 460th Street and Iowa Highway 21 near Brooklyn is closed as law enforcement works a farm property believed to be the place Mollie Tibbetts' body was recovered. Bryon Houlgrave/The Register

Where has anyone said the other cases don't deserve more attention? You are in a thread about a University of Iowa student. I hate to tell you this, but most of the thread is going to be about the topic. That's how this works in case you don't know. You have to let this go dude.

Smh

Like I said earlier in this thread...the family should get 30 minutes in a cage with the perp with the weapon of their choice. This is an innocent who had her whole life ahead her and who deserved better. Anger doesn't even tell the story when I think about someone who could do this. Quick trial, death penalty.

i don't think you'll find anyone arguing against you on this. man...when i think back all that i have been fortunate enough to experience since i was 18, it just breaks my heart. she will never get to experience so much.

Dude...go and study the term. This is a terrible comment. The thought of vigilante justice is understandable, but lynching has a connotation that isn't appropriate. First of all, many of those lynched were innocent people. If someone did commit a crime and they couldn't find that person, often their family was lynched.

I like where you were going with the extreme measures to get justice...but you took a decidedly wrong turn here.

i think it was perhaps a bit too much hyperbole and not intended in a historical sense.

Take a look at our society, our culture.
Look at our values.
Look at the things we are exposed to.
Look at mental health, and how little most people care about it.
We live in a selfish, materialistic, hypocritical, stressed, and generally fucked up world, with no change for the better in sight.

So, I actually DO kinda get it.

we need to get back to basics in our society. i agree with you. accountability. responsibility. loyalty. friendship. work ethic. self determination and motivation. spiritual rennasainse.

The Golden Rule comes to mind. Poor family, what a tragedy. Another person starting to come into her own, taken from us all. I want us all to remember that life is cruel, and sometimes swift to those who never had a chance.
