Minnesota is just not a good basketball team...RSIII is just not the player people thought he would be and Williams may just be the most overrated player in the BIG.

Too bad there's not a set number of Big Ten teams that make the tournament. Minnesota or Northwestern falling off the bubble does nothing to help Iowa's chances.

I'd go as far as to say that two teams falling off the bubble is statistically guaranteed to help Iowa's chances.

It would for me, no matter how bad Illinois is playing...they hate Iowa and it seems they really enjoy pounding Iowa when they can.

This is also one of those games that is just a horrible matchup for Iowa with the athleticism and size of Illinois.

Road wins aren't as big in the eyes of the committee as quality wins.
But I agree, Iowa needs to win these next 3 to get on that bubble.

Agreed. We looked good against Wisconsin, Purdue, and Minnesota on the road, but other than that we have looked really bad. Our game against Northwestern, and the first half against Penn State were especially bad.

However, I think the team has built a ton of confidence after the past 2 games, and I expect them to come out and play with Illinois. If we can keep up the intensity on defense like we did against Indiana and Wisconsin I really like our chances tonight.
