Mens Basketball vs William Jewell Exhibition

The men’s basketball team willl be playing an exhibition game vs William Jewell college. As a youth I went to Bible camp there so I am very interested in this exhibition.

Watch for the defense to focus and contain their high scoring 6’5” guard Patrick Whelan from England. Iowa’s inside players will match up against Moldova native 6’10” Center Emil Ostanfiiciuc. They don’t have a lot of size besides him.

This will be a good preparation for the regular season. I look forward to seeing the Iowa men’s basketball team to start to work out an effective rotation, and to start picking up the pace more. They will have other games like this when they can take advantage of thier depth that way.

This made me laugh. :D I agree with you though. Iowa knows it can score points, but can they stop anyone? That will be the big question.
 
I am completely jacked for this exhibition game against William Jewell, and I realize its pretty stupid.

Seems like only 2 years ago Iowa lost one of these exhibition games and went on to have a pretty good season...

Yeah, I was chastised pretty hard for telling people on here that I thought Iowa would lose that game to Augustana. Not as worried about William Jewell. But expect to see weird line ups - probably Connor right? These games are typically treated like what they are - exhibition

It's on BTN+ which is streaming online.

It's $9.95 for 1 month. Iowa's two exhibition games and first 3 regular season games are all on BTN+ so its a no brainer in my opinion. However, on December 29th Iowa plays Northern Illinois on BTN+. So you'd have to re-up another $10 for just that one game.

Just a piece of advice, BTN+ auto-renews. So what I usually do is pay the $10 and then immediately cancel the auto-renew. That way I don't forget and get billed again.
 
I find it interesting that ‘men's’ was used in the title. Yet, CIA has refused in the past to use ‘women's’ in the title when starting threads on Iowa women's basketball. The start to a new basketball year. Will this be equal OP? William Jewell College is in Kansas City, in case anyone else was wondering. I had to look it up too.

Sounds like you'd prefer someone with experience starting the basketball game threads. I know a guy.

But, there is only 1 hoops game in October on btnplus, so you have to pay for 2 months to watch all 5 hoops games on btnplus. but, there are some wrestling matches you'll get as well. it's worth the $20 in my opinion.

I just signed up for BTN+ and 1 month ($10) is good until Nov 26 which will cover the first 5 bball games.

If memory serves me correctly, usually the first couple of games on BTN+ are crap but then it gets better.
