Melvin Gordon glad he snubbed Iowa, switched to Wisky



He actually seems like a good kid. Wish he played for Iowa. But now that he doesn't, I hope we shut him down on 11/2.
 


makes sense that he would eventually feel affirmed in his decision. It would be sad if he had lingering longings to be a hawkeye after investing himself in another program.

I wonder if he's glad he said this:

"I'm not going anywhere. I gave them my word, and that's it. I know a couple of schools may come at me until I sign the letter. When we start practice whenever next fall, I'll be in Iowa City."--Melvin Gordon, August 2010
 


After reading this the only thing I can possibly say is, what do you expect him to say? He has been on campus since the fall of 2010. Does anyone expect him to say he wishes he would have stayed at Iowa. I mean, really?
 




And the guy he bonded with, Lester Erb, is gone, so it makes sense that he has no regrets. If Iowa had him, our program would be more like Wiskys right now.
 


I'm glad he ended up in Wisconsin. We didn't want or need that clown anyway and Weisman is better for our offense. Don't get me wrong, kid is an average ballplayer and I ain't got anything against him, but he just wouldn't fit in with what we run at Iowa.

Did you not see the OSU game? We're pretty close to Wisconsin. We'll beat them.

Yes, it is. If someone is some yella belly and commits to Iowa and then switches his commitment or if he transfers out of Iowa, it is a snub. Plain and simple. You could compile a decent team with Iowa snubs. Ross P. Dan McGwire. Jake Christensen. Rodney Coe. James Townsend. Ryan Bain. Greg Garmon. Jewel Hampton. Marcus Coker. AJ Derby. Kyle Bonecrusher Williams. That kid from Detroit who flipped to Mighigan. Roger Craig and Trev Alberts (for committing to Nebraska in the first place). Alex Thompson, Tyler Smiff and Cully Payne in basketball. The list is long.

A 17 year old and his "word". Interesting. I'm betting he wouldn't recall stating that if asked. Lol.
