No. But that's simple enough. If a team Doctor says he's not 100% or he reports that he's not 100% healthy...done deal.
He's already practicing and it's week 7! Are you kidding me?

We've heard rumors that he is back at practice. That doesn't necessarily mean he has received medical clearance. They may get him out there and decide the ankle can't take it.
Thinking you 100% know the answer either way is a good way to be proven wrong.
The medical redshirt was an option, but he came back faster than anyone initially expected. I'd sure love to see him carrying the ball in a couple weeks. We need some quickness in the backfield.
I still think Coker should be moved to FB, with McCall and Canzeri at RB (in addition to Bullock and Johnson)
So the doctors don't have to give him medical clearance to continue football activities? Right....
If Morehouse said he was practicing, I will believe it. Doesn't mean he is taking hits....but the fact that he is out there and we still have what, 7-8 weeks left of football? Cmon. That redshirt ain't happening. Whether you want to believe it or not.
A redshirt is unlikely at this point. But too many people want to prove how smart they are by asserting something as 100% when that is far from the case.
I'd love to see that happen. I'd love to see what McCall can do with 15-20 carries.
The question posed was "...can you recall an Iowa running back redshirting his freshman season, and then playing four consecutive years after that? Meaning no significant injuries, grade issues, getting kicked off the team, transferring, etc.?"
The real point to the question is elaborating on the fact how hard it is to keep a RB in the program for five years and get get four years of playing production out of said RB. Per the lack of answers to said question it's nearly impossible.
If McCall can play this year, he is not eligible for a medical hardship waiver.
Yeah, that's just too many weapons on the field at the same time. Can't be having that with conserv-a-ball.No doubt. And we've seen lots of short passes to Coker the last few weeks. Imagine what we could do with Coker and McCall in the backfield at the same time. Or Coker/Canzeri.
I'll be the first to stand up and applaud if Ferentz does that. But I'm not holding my breath. God-forbid we get as much talent on the field as possible. Coker at FB with McCall/Canzeri at RB could be dynamic.
Obviously if he is practicing now than they intend to play him so its a moot point, but.
Wouldn't it depend on when he is cleared given the %30 thing? If he was cleared to play with less than %30 of the games remaining and didn't what would happen?
I would assume he would get a waiver.
Does anyone truly understand how the NCAA comes to decision on anything? Im pretty sure admitting your dad tried to pimp you is supposed to be a violation.
