Gatens was 7th in B1G in steals, Marble 6th in B1G steals... Gasser in not even in Top 15.

One game out of how many? And let's be honest, Gatens was a freaking stud in that game and wasn't getting many open looks. He was just unreal and hitting tough shots. One of the all time great Hawkeye games!!

True. A lot of factors go into points as well. Who's more effecient, does the team need you to score more? PPS?
Bruce Bowen who was only in the NBA b/c of his great defense averaged .8 steals per game. Shane Battier is the same way. Great NBA defender but stats wise will never blow you away
Huh? There are many variables in a good defensive player, some of which can't even be measured. There are far less in being a scorer...namely scoring (points).
