Martin OK'd

Probably not a large amount, but a small wager, probably.

Heard from this source about the Martin transfer before the news leaked out. Didn't report that. Maybe I should have.

Like I have said, nothing is official until we hear an announcement, but this is a message board and the guy has been right in the past.

Did you leak the Andrew Luck news last night in the middle of my FF draft after Luck was already selected in our 5th round.. You F'er!!!!!

He's smiling. That's a good sign.

So if this comes out as true tomorrow will this guy still he wrong because “your” source doesn’t know? Maybe GHawk’s source is better informed then yours?

Just want to know how this will go down if turns out accurate.

Could it come out tomorrow? Yes.

As of tonight, the UI and the family has not heard from the NCAA.

You’re free to believe who and what you want. I don’t care.

Getting into journalism, did you know it would eventually lead to defending the veracity of your reporting to someone named pootspot, or did it just sorta turn out that way?
What makes one person wrong and the other not? Neither one will reveal the source so it’s just a trust based model. I’m by no means doubting Robs contacts But what makes his source the only reliable and fully in the know on all things?

Has Ghawk posted false information before? I don’t know that but to say because Robs source says no that it isn’t valid is pretty high and mighty.

To be clear I love this site and Rob is fantastic But doesn’t mean he always knows first and OP is wrong. Time will tell

The way I see it is if they are announcing something tomorrow, they probably don't want it out today. One way to not let it out of the bag is to not tell a reporter, or tell a reporter off the record. This rumor has picked up a lot of steam. If it turns out to be true, I won't be surprised at all if Rob was lied to or had to lie to us at the source's request. That said, I would be even less surprised if one person made something up and it snowballed from there. That happens all the time.

Rob didn’t your source say there is no truth to Oliver transferring to Iowa from Michigan a few weeks before Oliver transferred?

Different source, one who had good info for awhile but not current, which is why I reached out to this one after that. I learned from that situation which is why I got someone closer to the situation, about as close as I could get other than OM himself.

I’m leaving the thread up because it serves as the catch-all for what are sure to be more bogus reports in this topic.

Common sense says a decision will come this week if NCAA has an decency, which is debatable. He either gets cleared or doesn’t, which gives someone trolling a 50-50 shot at being correct. Everyone is in the edge of their seats waiting for word, which makes people more likely to buy it, especially if it’s good news.

My source said he or she would let me know as soon as word came. I’m not going to bug he or she every hour. As of last night, they were hoping to hear by tomorrow (Tuesday).

It’s a fluid situation.
