Not up to me. I asked a very good close friend of OM, he told me. The same one that told me 4 months ago that he was transferring here. Look, I'm not looking for a pat on the back or anything, this is a place to share information, and I'm sharing it. Feel free to believe it or not, that's up to you.

So just to set it straight, based on what you’ve heard, at least the family is lying to the media. I mean there’s no other conclusion to be drawn here if that’s really what you’re saying.

I know you’re not going to say so, but that’s what you’re saying unless you’re trolling. Which is 50/50.

Was that elsewhere in this thread? I haven't read it all. If they're saying something different, then they're keeping it quiet for a reason, I have no idea what that might be though. Doesn't make sense to me, I'd want to announce it immediately, but that's me.

I think it also means Ferentz is lying when he says he doesnt have any information on OM. Unless OM's family is also lying to the Head Coach of their sons football team for no reason at all?

Maybe were holding off announcing it to totally f*** with Miami's game plan. You know, like NFL teams used to have do when they had fun with their weekly injury reports.

I hope so, there's no reason that I can see to delay it like this. Is not knowing building excitement? I didn't "know" until about an hour ago, and I'm elated after hearing it. I could see how they might feel this way, but I think it's a weak reason at best.

I am not backing you up because I don't know you or necessarily believe you....but maybe OM's lawyer delivered the news to OM's family but the NCAA hasn't officially approved the waiver and released the decision yet

I could maybe see that I guess. Everyone's just waiting until the NCAA makes it official. Again...I'm just trying to play along.
 
It's pretty obvious what happened here. Rob asked his source, his source said yes but they aren't announcing until Monday so don't tell anyone, then Rob asked if they can wait until Tuesday so the tool on the message boards won't be right.
 
They could be waiting for the paperwork to make it official.

If they are going to rule him ineligible, it would be beyond cruel to wait and not do it until right before kickoff. It is not logical to wait this long if the answer is no.

If yes, then they let the family know last week with a pledge of confidentiality until the paperwork is completed.

Sounds like the NCAA granted the waiver, but then it went to the B1G where Harbaugh raised a stink, and has caused some delays.

Rob said he reached out to both the family and the U and he was told by both that they had not been told anything from the NCAA.

I'm starting to think that maybe you aren't totally sure of your source anymore? If you didn't hear it from the family or the NCAA I'm doubting the veracity.

Or people are full of shit. That's what I think is most likely here.

It's easy to say you know what's going to happen because you have a 50/50 chance of being right.
