Interviewed today on The Champ, Roy was asked about the loss to UNLV. Surprisingly, he stated for the first time publicly that an incident occurred at the end of the first half that got into his head and kept him from playing anything close to his normal game. Off camera and after the first half had expired, Armon Gilliam knocked him down where no one could see it. He said that he has searched several videos of the game but has never been able to find it on film. He still feels badly that his thirst for revenge interfered with his game to the point of possibly costing the Hawks at a chance for a Nat'l title.
Let it go, Roy. We would have never been there without you.
