Lol. It's not a con job. Every coach thinks they have the goods to coach the pinnacle. Universities make a gamble on them every time they make a hire. 95% of the time they lose. There can only be so many winners. Providence's next coach was a hack as well. They will hire many more before they find a special one.

Not in 4,5,6, and 8....almost half of the time....and with his established years as coach. Perhaps this year is going to be different, but we shall see.

Year 5, 6, 7, and 8 started with a team without our best player that was a 1st team conference player. It's not a hack coach job if the team struggles to start the year under those circumstances.

On a side not, I dont think any team has gone on a mid season collapse under Fran. He either started slow and slowly got better (5 times), got good by mid season and then fell apart (2 times), or sucked the same the entire year (1 time). Year 9 we already know there wasn't a mid season collapse. We have yet to know how it will end tho.
