with this logic, you'd think 5 star talent would be lining up on Fran's doorstep just begging to put on a hawkeye jersey. big fish in a small pond right?
and you dont garner national attention because of the big ten network (which is only viewable in states with a big ten team) you get national attention by being a stud and taking your team for a run in the tournament. just ask steph curry.

if you don't have dish, it isnt forced upon you like it is in states with big ten programs
regardless, the big ten network isn't getting guys noticed, having a relevant enough program to be on sportscenter or network tv is. no coach in the big ten is sitting down in some recruits living room with them and their parents and saying, "now, he's going to get tons of love because he'll be on the BTN".

300 different cable companies across America in addition to DirecTV and Dish.
It's available in 19 of the 20 biggest markets in the U.S.
and every us citizen over the age of 18 can vote, but roughly half dont bother to do so.
unless you have a vested interest in a big ten school, you dont even know you have that channel (in places where it is a part of basic cable)
like i said above, it isn't a selling point for recruits.

If Cezar's parents want to watch him play on tv in California their options are:
Ok St.- maybe 4-5 games all year.
ISU- maybe 2 games all year.
Iowa- minimum of 24 games this year.
Now I think even half-butted ISU/Big 12 fans can figure out how BTN is a nice edge for Iowa when recruiting players from the other side of the country....or are they really that dumb?
