The Cubs had Ron Santo.
The Cardinals have Mike Shannon.
KCRG had Bob Brooks.
BTN has Matt Millen.
Rock has KISS/Green Day/Queen/Guns n Roses.
The traditional and known are ofttimes difficult to eject. ESPN Game Day is finding this out.
I was thinking along these lines. A good number of people that have the show on aren't really listening. They just want to hear the same familiar voices say a few names that are on the teams and pick a winner. It's part of the game day ritual.
The bean counters for the corporation only care about content when it matters. Their only real focus is market share. More often than not, a move away from the familiar means a loss of market share.
