The title of the OP goes without saying. I mean when has a fan base ever overreacted, especially on a message board. This is a place that logic always tops emotion.

Yes Iowa choked down the stretch. But I think it's pretty obvious they are the better team than Iowa State. Pretty bad officiating, and some unlucky bounces cost them. It happens. This is still a very good team that will finish in the top 4 or 5 of the B1G and has a chance to do some serious damage in the NCAA tournament.

Disagree, a team who can't close it down the stretch and is terrbile at letting teams back into the game in the 2nd half is NOT a good team that will NOT finish in the top 6 in the BIG...and the will be lucky to make the NCAA if they don't get their heads out of their butts and stop losing to lesser teams.

It is one freaking game, and we lost on the road to a very good team. You gonna say the same about Mich. St. because they lost at home to UNC?? Sure it sucks we lost, but it was to a good opponent on the road.

Exactly. Basketball is unlike football, where there's only 12 games. It stinks to lose to ISU, because we have to hear that BS from their fans, but it's a blip on the screen as I see it. Iowa was an NCAA tournament team before last night, and they are still an NCAA tournament team today.

Besides, it was nice to let ISU win, because in the end, us Iowa fans know that's what really happened - the Hawks let ISU win. They didn't have to, but they felt it would be good for the Cyclones and their fans self-esteem. Quite magnanimous when you think about it.
