I see some bashing and name calling going on today with he ISU threads. I started that thread as it was good wrestling news. If you have a good opinion to add then great, it doesn't have to be glowing and I don't expect you guys to be ISU fans but no need to get mean. If you want to just ARGUE wrestling then go to the Rivals site. If you want to TALK wrestling then please keep posting here.

ISU has been down but they have some very nice young wrestlers in the ranks now with guys like Finch, Meeks, Moreno, Spangler, Beard, Gadsen, McCauley, etc...
 
good news for ISU. I love the Hawks and also like to see ISU have a strong team because if makes the state of IA that much better than the rest.
 
Agreed Fulsaas. However - its hard to be civil when Clone fans come to our forum to troll and start blasting us. I love when they call us out as "typical hawk fans" on our own forum.

The clones have some good young wrestlers indeed but I still have the right to talk about what a mess their program is. It's our forum isn't it?
 
I fully concur ff. You can always choose the ignore function.

Best of luck to ISU in resurrecting their program from the destruction left when Cael suddenly departed. It's in the best interests of the state of Iowa and wrestling in general for a storied program like ISU to excel. May they always finish second to Iowa!
 
It's a great idea; a little more civility....check that....a little civility in the Politics/Controversial forum would also be commendable, if unlikely.

And it isn't just an idea: this wrestling board has been civil and respectful since its inception. It seems that over the years when Iowa football has down years, football posters get bored or frustrated or whatever, and come over here acting the same as they do on the football board.

Besides having so many posters here w/ so much knowledge, the next best thing about this wrestling forum is it's civility and respect for all other posters.
 
Pin will be back. Of all the posters on the wrestling forum, Pin definitely has the record for the most posts per day of the wrestling season. I wander if he got married and the wife put the clamps down on his computer time.

Second thing, about the forum, I really enjoy reading about any wrestling news and insights available on here. Especially in-state. No one has to take away your hawkeye card for hoping all of Iowa's wrestling programs are elite. Obviously on this site we hope the hawks are on top, but i don't want ISU as far behind them as they were last year.

I can't wait for the McCauley vs. St. John match. St. John will be a returning 157 national champ when they wrestle.

Although this would be a nice match to see, I dont see Destin ever making up to 157, while Derek is still at Iowa.

He just wrestled 145.5 last weekend and I think he will be at 149 in college until maybe a senior year bump to 157 if at all.

It will also be interesting to see if KJ and crew suggest a redshirt for DM his first year at ISU.

Not sure how that works do kids normally redshirt if they take that year after high school and train at the OTC?
 
I can't wait to see McCauley vs Carew match next year. I think that a lot of people are going to be surprised this year by just how good Dylan really is!

That is some good news he is definitely one of my favorite funk wrestlers. I think we can count on more bonus points this year as our team has a lot more experience and growth.

well kids i am here but extremely busy with refinances but i'll be around more in the near future....i am also getting married new years eve so been busy with wedding planning

so soon this board will be filled with my daily threads and news
